The intent of this commercial project was to utilize off-the-shelf components in an off-site construction process. The goal was to reduce the cost of the project while increasing the overall speed and precision of construction. This was met by building the floor platform, stud walls and structural insulated panels (SIPs) off-site. These were then assembled on site for an efficient construction process and well-insulated building envelope, as well as greatly reduced site and material waste.
